Charity Challenges offer teams the ability to work together, improving teamwork, whilst having fun, and raising money for a worthwhile cause.
It is likely that a Charity Challenge will be of a longer duration, and will need greater planning and organising.
Basically, any activity which the team would like to perform, is acceptable for this task. The key is to choose something which the team all feels strongly about, and then weave in the elements of team development.
Examples of the type of activity which may be attempted are:
One of the tasks which the team would need to undertake, is to select a charity, set a target for sponsorship money, and get sponsors confirmed.
Sponsors might be individuals (eg friends and family), or they might be the organisation the team is part of, or it may be local companies.
Lightbeam's role would be to ensure that the teamwork aspects of the task are understood and agreed up-front, and then monitored and reviewed.
